besides, it stops someone from commenting on an art piece they love..
I never disable comments because comments are my way of knowing that other people are looking at my art and i'm not just talking to myself..
Seriously i love getting comments even if it just says "I hate you for no valid reason!" I still need to here opinion, Without having opinion i am nothing!
I Also hate going down to a comment section trying to find an opinion i can relate to or to see other people's opinion on something and then all of the sudden the comments are disabled.
Simply put.. I. HATE. DISABLED. COMMENTS.
both youtube & deviantART who came up with this
were not even allowed say are toughts & opinions
on Certain things on the Internet.
If you outright disable comments on your stamps on deviantART, there's a 99% chance I will not take you seriously.
Fellmekke blocked me quite immediately. Am I a spammer? I wrote you ONE comment, you replied with another stupid reply an then blocked me? Then why did you reply if you don't want anything to be said? I guess blocking me improved your social status? I'd fucking ruin your shit face if you were in front of me. No matter if you couldn't compete by far. Grow the fuck up.
Sorry for using this to reply to someone else, the discussion is over already.
It's not venting, it's a thought.
Is it normal that every time you open this "art" site you don't even find art because it's outnumbered by shit?
If it's normal, then this isn't an art site. Just noticing because I don't think it was always like that.
This could be questionable. Screenshots can be used to show off combinations of wallpapers, desktop widgets, docks, etc. Even if the individual items were made by other people, combining them together gives a different result.
OTOH if the screenshot is just to show off a wallpaper only, then I can understand the pointlessness of it.
>>drawings that anyone who has never learnt to draw could do in one minute
So because it is bad, its not art or it shouldn't be on the website? I don't understand that logic. First not everyone was born with an ungodly amounts of artistic skill but they may still enjoy drawing. Also some deviants may actually be children or young adults.
>>photos of mountains
Is it specifically photos of mountains or photography in general? Neither one bothers me really. Also I think photography is a fine hobby and some people (not all) can produce amazing works with a camera.
Cosplayers can put different amount of money and/or effort into their costumes. Sure some of them might just be store-bought but there are also others that are much more detailed or realistic (relatively speaking).
If they are handmade by the person who submitted photos of it, I don't really see a problem. They took effort and time to create a perhaps unique stuffed animal.
>>tons of stamps that say pointless things, motivational posters
Ok I'll give you this one. However I hope you didn't comment on my stamp just for this...
Anyways this is just a personal pet peeve of sorts. Everyone has things that bother them. Big deal.
